Meet Jessica
My name is Jessica Chaney and I own Lycette, a needlepoint company with brick-and-mortar locations in Palm Beach, FL and Newport, RI as well as e-commerce. I split time between our two locations with my family: my husband (who also works at Lycette), our son Miller, and our two dogs (Oreo & Bailey). My favorite parts of the day are getting my son out of his crib in the morning and needlepointing and cuddling with our pups at night.

We try to take Miller on one "adventure" a weekend. So far his favorites are the aquariums — he loves looking at all the fish!
Of Note — What's Inspiring Her Lately
I lean towards workaholic. However, since having Miller, I've found my best ideas come from being around my family and unwinding. Watching him experience everything for the first time is magical. It inspires me to look at the world through my own rose-colored glasses.

What is your motherhood mantra?
Be easy on yourself. This is my first time doing this — motherhood — and I shouldn't worry about not getting everything right the first time. It's not what I do, but how I handle it. I want Miller to see that it is okay to make mistakes, as long as you try again and stay positive!
